Royal Dutch Air Force Successful with “World-class Warehouse Management " |

The logistics centre of the Royal Dutch Air Force on Air Force base Woensdrecht provides the storage and distribution of spare parts for all flying material used by the Dutch defense units. At this moment, the Royal Air Force is working on the Hermes II project. The goal of this project is to centralize the stock of logistics centre Woensdrecht and two other bases into a new logistics centre located on Air Force base Woensdrecht.

Continue WMS Investments During Financial Crisis |

More than ever, warehouse management systems are capable of saving costs and they require lower investments. This is the conclusion of Dutch consulting firm Jeroen van den Berg Consulting in a survey among 22 WMS vendors. The firm advises that companies should continue their software investments in the forthcoming years. “Now that the economy is in trouble due to the banking crisis, cost saving becomes an increasingly important theme”, says researcher Godelieve Meeuwissen.
