A warehouse or distribution centre that operates perfectly at one time, may display several bottlenecks some time later. Changes in orders, assortment and market requirements result in higher costs per order, overtime, a lack of storage space and regular queues of trucks at the entrance. This cannot go on any longer. Perhaps a new warehouse management system (WMS) is the solution.
